Call to Ministry
Bishop Melvin Fitzgerald Cooper is the CEO, Founder and Senior Pastor of World Won for Christ Family Life Ministries. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and before he was conceived in his mother’s womb, God had a special calling on his life.
Bishop Cooper received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit at the tender age of 10 years old. He would later be called to the ministry at the early age of 13.
Bishop Cooper has traveled as a National and International Evangelist and has a dynamic, enthusiastic track record of transforming and revitalizing congregations.
Bishop Cooper has been married to his beautiful wife, First Lady Joyce Cooper for 37 years and together they are the proud parents of two children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Bishop Cooper is a visionary, avid community developer and spiritual leader focused on bringing positive change to the community. He is the Founder and CEO of World Won Development. He established the Fitting Back In Prison Re-Integration Program, EduRec Youth & Family Fun Center, 36th Street North Event Center, and the Co-Founder of the World Bible Theological Seminary. His vision is to encourage personal, spiritual, and economic growth within the community as well as provide a safe, loving environment to encourage God’s people.
Bishop Cooper received his ministerial credentials from Aenon Bible College of the Pentecostal Assemblies of The World. He regularly appeared on the Trinity Broadcast Network as a host and speaker. He currently hosts a weekly radio broadcast on KBOB 89.9 FM. Bishop Cooper was awarded “Men of The Year 2010” by the Tulsa 100 Black Men Organization. Bishop Cooper also received an honorary doctorate from Fellowship Bible Institute in 2014. He loves preaching and teaching the dynamic word of God.
On November 13, 2016 Bishop Cooper received a Proclamation from Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett proclaiming November 13th as “Pastor Melvin Cooper Day”.,
